Bank of Hillsboro is pleased to announce the newest addition to its team, Kord Lewey, who joins as the Commercial Ag Loan Officer. With a strong background in agriculture and a deep connection to the local community, Kord brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to his new role. Kord Lewey, a Hillsboro native, has been hired as the Commercial Ag Loan Officer at Bank of Hillsboro.

Born and raised in Hillsboro, Kord is well-acquainted with the agricultural landscape of Montgomery County.
Kord pursued his education at Lake Land College in Mattoon for two years before transferring to Western Illinois University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences with a Minor in Ag Tech Management. His journey in the agricultural sector includes working for a local seed company, serving as the Resource Conservationist for Montgomery County Soil and Water District, and holding positions as a Program Technician for the Farm Service Agency in Bond and Montgomery Counties.
Kord’s roots in agriculture run deep, having been raised on a family farm with a variety of livestock, including goats. His diverse experience in various agricultural professions provides him with a unique and broad insight into Ag production in Montgomery County.
In addition to his professional experience, Kord is an active member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau Young Leaders, demonstrating his commitment to community involvement and credibility in the agricultural sector.
